Everybody, We're Finally Open.

Anneyong haseyo! This blog will be regularly updated in the future. So please check this regularly for news and updates. The photo posted above is our very own Yangnyeom Chicken. Super red and spicy fried chicken, cooked perfectly the Korean way. Oozing with goodness. Splashed with our very own special sweet and sour sauce. Comes with free coleslaw. Good for 2-3 persons. Also try our Festive Crab Soup. It's a spicy soup dish with crab, shrimp, squid, mussels, seaweed and some veggies. Quite festive, thus the name. Comes with side dishes and rice. Good for 2 persons. Try these and other Korean dishes at the Hidden Korean Place, located in Marikina Heights, Marikina City. You may call us (02) 544-1684 for inquiries and reservations. 1. Hi Bff! Sarap sana mag stay pa kagabo kaso nakakahiya naman kay Nelson kung papaunahin ko siya after ko siya yayain dun...hehehe...anyways, will surely come back to dine again, i sched ko lang with my friends. Gusto ko din isama family ko jan. Good luck sa business mo. I strongly believe na magiging click yan! Nowadays word of mouth na and hindi na public exposure ang technique para maging mabenta ang isang business. Kaya keep urs as it is, exclusive and with class :)

  3. Wencel, (and Robin :),

This is such a great idea! I have a feeling this business will succeed. Anyway here are my comments:

Place - I think you already knew what to do. Sarap tumambay kaya nga sabi ko, baka umagahin kayo parati...

    Food:
Kimbap - OK! Although for Kulas, crabkstick is a no-no (hehe, HB... as in highblood)
Soup - Sabi ni Kulas dapat daw superhot as in mainet! At saka papano ba sequence sa Korean dining. Nauuna din ba ang soup? Pero the soup is ok, like what I said, para similar to a native Ilocano soup.
Grilled Pork - I prefer it to be a little thinner in cut/slice... The wine is very distinctive kaya sushal ang dating :)
Barley Tea - Refreshing nga! Mura lang ba yung paggawa nun? Kasi matakaw inumin, kahit ilang galon ata di nakakabundat... Hehehe.
Utensils/Dinnerware - Perfect. Simplicity is always perfect.
Kaadik kaya... Super dami ng side dishes ha... Okay sya...

    Goodluck! Your BFF.

  5. Kua Wencel,
Two words - "super satisfying!" Haha :) Pero really masarap. The chicken is truly delicious, suubra! :) Ambiance is also good, nakakarelax. Thanks for inviting me here. Wonderful experience. Ayiee! :)

  6. Kuya. Love your place, it's very relaxing... Also, masarap yung food - quail eggs at yung dilis. Before, hindi po ako masyadong kumakain, but after makakain ng food niyo, I will be coming back for more! Haha.
Kimbap-Very different from the ones I've tasted before. Masarap siya ha... Masarap!!!
    Chicken-Tender, perfect spicy dish.
    Rice Water-Sweet, good and refreshing.
    Jjajangbab-Different but delicious taste.
Surely, I'll be back! Im craving for more of your dishes :) God bless! More power and good luck to your business.

  9. Kuya Wencel, The wooden floormat caught my attention. It's very comfy for me to sit in. I like the tofu and the other side dishes as well. The Kalbi was good, only the beef is medyo matigas pa. Til next time.

    Wencel & Friends,

It's nice to know there's a place like this... Hidden Korean Place, very homey. Foods are great. The Kimbap, your own version of California Maki tastes good, as well as Bibimbap and even the side dish. Light on taste, no "umay" factor. Surely, I'll recommend this to all my friends.

Goodluck... God bless... More power to your business venture! "A perfect place to be..."

    3. side dishes - dilis - i like! spicy-sweet-spicy
kikiam, togue, quail eggs - good
    4. kimbap - no comment! saparaparpar... nakakabulol sa sarap.
    5. festive crab - again, yum. siguro may konting kulang lang sa sabaw pero can't think of anything to suggest hehe... shell of crab is soft enough to open, just be ready sa paghugas ng kamay.
    6. grilled pork with wine - meat grilled perfectly! i love the idea of eating it with all the vegetables instead of the usual rice.
    7. overall - good food! good job to you and your staff. will come back sometime soon. thank you and good luck to you all.

ps: pictures ko pa-email ah. :)
add. suggestion: sana may board games.

  17. Wenz and your Shy Chef,
I had a very satisfying meal, as in "bundat" sira diet ko, sumptuous! The food is superb! Ambiance very cozy.
Rice Water-Can't stop drinking, may I suggest bottomless, o di ba parang iced tea lang. Very refreshing after a very spicy meal, loved the spice!
Beef Kalbi-Very tender perfectly seasoned, sugar and spice! Very balanced sweetnedd and spice.
Side dishes-Never eaten zuchini, was my first time enjoyed it naman. At and pinakasusyal na dilis "anchovies." Never thought of it as a side dish, pero it was perfect appetizer or should I say pulutan? :)
Homemade Ice Cream-I will be definitely be coming bacl for these. Yumm!!!
Over all it was a very good experience. Goodluck to both of you. :)

  18. Wencel and Chef,
Thanks sa good service and good food. Andaming kanin. Nakakabusog. Place is nice. Utensils are very pretty. First time namin to try Korean food so:
Beef Kalbi=Meat is very nicely done. Malambot.
Bibimbap=Ok yung taste, although we don't now if matabang ba talaga ang dish na yun, or less tasty.
    Japchae=Very good, tasty xa.
There, next time namin try yung ibang dishes mo and I'll bring my other friends.
    Other suggestions: A shoerack maybe?
Plus an "outfit" that maybe suits a little close to the theme/place.
It's a good place and your service is great! God bless you and your partnership, and this business. More clients to come.

  19. Wencel and Korean Friend, Komapta! Loved the food, the cozy place and most especially the way you personally attended to us!
Food was great - esp. the chapchae, the very tender Kalbichim, and Bibimbap. Have yet to try the Yangnyeom Chicken when I get home. Super bundat na with just the Bibimbap, side dishes, and Kalbi.
Kung may Secret Garden si Hyun Bin at Haji Won, may Secret Resto k anaman na worth going back to.
Felt like sleeping on the pretty mat after bringing on your good food.
Oh, and not to forget-the Korean songs added to the memorable experience. Sana may soundtrack ng Secret Garden and Boys Over Flowers! Hehe. :) I shall return...
